Goodbye, Loyal Friend

Things have been pretty hard around here today.  We lost our best friend this afternoon.  The Princess and I found him in the hallway between our bedrooms right after I picked her up from school.  We had him since he was a pup.

    Oh, TMT, I am so sorry. Crying here because I know we will be in the same position within a few years. Our two are 12 and 11 and we have had them both since pups...for longer than we have had kids.

    Thank you. It is still hard. We received his ashes back from the human society yesterday afternoon. I still can't believe it. I keep listening for him and then remember, no . . .
